Sound Gestures

From listening and analysis through Sonic Visualiser and Audacity software, sound objects were selected and classified according to the qualities / factors of the Laban Movement Analysis Effort. Concerning audio processing, a relationship was also sought with the gestural qualities of the movement beyond the aesthetic / poetic relations of the creations.

The different combinations of the three factors of Effort (weight, space and time) generate eight basic actions. And there are two attitudes related to basic actions:
struggling or resistant - punching, punctuating, pressing and whipping;
complacent or indulgent - float, shake / brush, glide and twist.
