1G0
The poetics of 1G0 stems from the reflection of our relations with digital media. Contemporary experience is permeated by data flows, our perception is increasingly affected by the hypertextuality and "hypersensoriality" made possible by digital devices. Through these currents of data we express, communicate, establish connections, networks ... And in the midst of this sea of zeros and our bodies develop in gestures sometimes complacent, other times fighting, gestures that resist, gestures between gestures.

The purpose of the work is to explore the dancer's gestural relationships in the midst of a stream of digital data represented by sounds. For this purpose, sound samples related to glitch aesthetics are used, which addresses the possibility of digital error as expressive material. Drones, which are sustained, repeated sounds, with very slow modulations are also employed in reference to the idea of flow and current of data.

Stylish!
This work was inspired by the works of Grada Kilomba (Plantation Memories: Episodes of Everyday Racism), Djamila Ribeiro (What is a place of speech?) And Conceição Evaristo (Poem: Vozes-mujeres). A mask made up of a piece of metal was placed inside the mouth of the black subject between the tongue and the jaw and secured behind the head by two strings, one around the chin and the other around the nose and forehead. In this way a sense of dumbness and fear was imposed on enslaved Africans, as well as preventing them from feeding on sugar cane and cocoa at work. This type of mask was represented by Jacques Arago in 1817-18, in a portrait of Anastasia, an enslaved African woman who was condemned to wear this mask until the end of her life. The mask is a symbol of the silencing and brutality of slavery and its legacy in racism that still persists. And Anastasia remains as symbol of historical resistance of the black people. The poetics of the work is about the silence and gestures that enable speech through the holes of the social masks and silencing devices, as well as the power of these gestures-speech that shatter the masks.
We used the berimbau and audio samples extracted from interviews of the artists Grada kilomba and Conceição Evaristo, as well as the poem: Vozes-mulheres. The dancer's gestures act in the processing of the berimbau audio picked up by a microphone and also act in the audio processing of the sound samples.
